Job Title: Welsh Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Year 3

Location: Cardiff

Salary: Minimum £85.00 per day

Start Date: February 2024

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a boy in Year 5 at a primary school in Ely, Cardiff. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on a child's educational journey.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a Year 5 student, helping him to achieve his academic goals.
• Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the student remains engaged and on task.
• Implement learning strategies and activities to support the child's individual needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher to monitor and report on the student's progress.
• Assist with any additional duties as required by the class teacher or school management.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Welsh and English.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
