Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a new opportunity in Kensington, Liverpool?

We are looking for experienced, motivated and flexible Learning Support Assistants to join our education agency and work in various primary schools in Kensington and surrounding areas in Liverpool.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will help the class teacher by providing support to children with specific learning needs. You will be confident supporting children both 1-1 or in small groups, fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Requirements:

• Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, mental health needs
• Experience working with children within school or residential setting
• References covering the last two years
• Hold a current DBS on the update service or are willing to complete a new DBS
• The Right to Work in the UK

Duties will include:

• Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
• Supporting the class teacher with children who need additional help in the classroom
• Working with pupils in small groups and working 1:1 with children with additional needs
• Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
• Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
• Supervising group activities
