We're partnering with a recently established Children's Home in Hatfield, and we're in search of a permanent Support Worker to join their exceptional Social Care team. In this position, you'll play a vital role in supporting children within a nurturing environment, addressing their unique needs, and assisting them in overcoming challenges, all with the goal of preparing them for fulfilling and joyous lives.

  • Pay: £12.50 - £13.30

Therapeutic Support Worker Responsibilities:

  • Actively supporting and encouraging children to progress towards their full potential.
  • Empowering and encouraging young people to develop life and independence skills.
  • Ensuring detailed handovers and effective shift plans.
  • Completing young people's paperwork accurately and reflectively.
  • Maintaining the home's day-to-day operations, safety checks, and a warm, welcoming environment.
  • Transporting young people to education, contact meetings, and activities.
  • Promoting and representing the company ethos, values, and expectations consistently.

Person Specification:

  • Kind, caring, professional, and understanding, even in challenging situations.
  • Proactive and inventive, ensuring a personalized service for each young person.
  • Positive outlook, always striving to find new solutions to difficulties.
  • Reflective about your own work/skillset, with a commitment to ongoing development.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
