Job Title: Designated Safeguarding & Pastoral Lead
Location: Royston, Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire Border
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent | 40 hours per week
We are seeking a Designated Safeguarding & Pastoral Lead to manage safeguarding and pastoral care across our services, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee safeguarding processes, manage referrals, and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
- Implement and coordinate the Attendance Policy.
- Provide safeguarding and behaviour training to staff.
- Ensure compliance reports and audits are completed in collaboration with the School Business Manager.
- Communicate with parents, carers, and external agencies on student progress and intervention effectiveness.
- Advise on the development of behaviour, pastoral care, and wellbeing programs.
- Review and implement safeguarding policies and practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- GCSEs in English & Maths (or equivalent).
- DSL Level 3 or above, with experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a residential setting, such as a Children's Home or Adult Care Home.
- Strong communication skills, conflict resolution, and experience with ASD support strategies.
- Experience with OFSTED & CQC inspections.
