Job Title: Designated Safeguarding & Pastoral Lead
Location: Royston, Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire Border
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent | 40 hours per week

We are seeking a Designated Safeguarding & Pastoral Lead to manage safeguarding and pastoral care across our services, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee safeguarding processes, manage referrals, and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
• Implement and coordinate the Attendance Policy.
• Provide safeguarding and behaviour training to staff.
• Ensure compliance reports and audits are completed in collaboration with the School Business Manager.
• Communicate with parents, carers, and external agencies on student progress and intervention effectiveness.
• Advise on the development of behaviour, pastoral care, and wellbeing programs.
• Review and implement safeguarding policies and practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• GCSEs in English & Maths (or equivalent).
• DSL Level 3 or above, with experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a residential setting, such as a Children's Home or Adult Care Home.
• Strong communication skills, conflict resolution, and experience with ASD support strategies.
• Experience with OFSTED & CQC inspections.
