James’ Journey into Social Care
We recently helped James, who previously worked in Sales, find his perfect fit as a Children's Support Worker. Here's what he had to say about his career change:
"For a long time, I worked in jobs that didn’t provide true satisfaction. I constantly pushed for the next sale, worried about hitting monthly targets, battled self-doubt, lost my passion, and was always on the go without any real sense of reward,” James explained.

Being so money-motivated, I initially focused on the salary rather than the role’s true meaning. That night, I went home and thought deeply about it. James was offered the role of a Key Worker for a new child in a Children's Residential home.
“The feeling of achievement was amazing,” James added.
“It is a step closer to where I want to be! Keep working, and if it’s not working, change it!”
